Just incase you didn't know they are through to the last 16 in The Uefa Champions League Man United beat Panathinaikos in Athens thanks to a late goal from Diego Forlan. And Chelsea draw 0-0 with Sparta Prague, they dominated the game but couldn’t find the back of the net, actually they did thanks to Hernan Crespo but it was ruled out, he also hit the crossbar.

The speed at which he got his shot away. He would take one great first touch, and snapped in a great shot within miliseconds. He was unlucky wityh one, just wide of Howard's left.

Indeed Lampard is magnificent at shooting, especially his first touch to set them up. Watch out Scholes and Gerrard
Ronaldo is top class. People say he just dances, but it's not true, he can beat any defender andy time. Both with his speed and skill.
But todays match was a bit lacking in quality, until the end. A great penalty, then Joe Cole shoulda scored that easy chance. I was really quite impressed with Lampard, as I have been all season. He was all over the pitch at first, faded a bit at the end, but an excellent penalty, put Shearer to shame.

The problem is the midfield, other than Giggs, there was no creativity for the first 75 mins whatsoever - this inevitably changed when Ronaldo and Kleberson came on and the game swung in United's direction.
We dearly missed Scholes and Ole today and today was about a defensive team trying to create for our strikers - it simply doesn't work.
