Is it possible for 10 years old to be nervous to ask a lad out? I don't remember being nervous, unless I was just a 'straight-forward-get-to-the-point-mature-10-year-old..

Tell your friends.

Guaranteed at least one of them will blab it, and before the day's out he'll have found out. Then wait for him to make a move, as that's what you girls seem to do...

Toga yob and everyone else are right, ask him.

Failing that, don't, and hang around hoping that maybe he'll ask you instead, and don't give yourself even a chance at getting what you want as life drifts past you.

Your choice.

Do it!

There are two things that can happen:

One, he says he likes you too: and that way you're both happy.

Two, he says he doesn't like you; you feel miserable for a few days; you start to feel better; you realise that you didn't completely humiliate yourself, or that humiliating yourself isn't actually all that bad; you try again, maybe with him, maybe with someone else, but this time you know that rejection isn't going to kill you and that it's worth the risk of getting what you want.

Gota yob is right - it's the only way. i know it seems to be the norm in school to ask a friend to ask them, but what's the point? If you don't have the guts to ask him out in the first place, what do you think your dates will be like?

to quote ralf wiggum :

"So, do you ...... like .... stuff?"

Why not?
It's not difficult.
You like him, you're not sure if he likes you.
You ask him, then you know.

Nobody's going to beat you up for being sincere.
And if he says "No", say "fair enough, least I'm not wasting my time then" and that's that.

Ask him.
It's that simple.
