last saturday,and
people celebrated like madmen. however, when listening to five live, stack-loads of people phoned in saying rugby is and old sport, un popular, and was sadly in the shadow of football, and that the whole country would be watching football, unlike the rugby which only gained the viewing of a third ofthe country. so what are your opinions. is rugby a sad shadow of football? can the football team learn anything from the rugby? is kicking a drop goal so easy that even emile heskey can do it??? let me no your thoughts. personally i think that rugby catched the heart of the nation last saturday, and was a triumph for the nation and this side of the hemesphere. however, i, like many prefer football and prefer to see the football team triumph. role on euro 2004. let me here your thoughts on this matter.
> i never watch Rugby unless it's England and prefer to watch Football instead. After watching the England winning the World Cup and then putting the Villa match on, I found it boring.
I don't know whether it was because Villa are playing crap or what, but with the Rugby final it never seemed to get boring. It was the same with the England Vs Denmark match, it started to get boring in the second half.
I still prefer football to rugby though.
that is weird. i do not like rugby unless its england, and of course, prefer football. i found the denmark game a letdown, especially after the three nil thrashing in the world cup. i think vill will now plumet down to divison 1, but after hearing they have to spend at least 25million in the transfer window, and are getting strachan, lets will stay up. i think rugby is a good sport but prefer football. villa, wolves and leicester will be relegated, and ipswich, wigan and west brom promoted. football rocks !!!!
