The "General Games Chat" forum, which includes Retro Game Reviews, has been archived and is now read-only. You cannot post here or create a new thread or review on this forum.
Over the coming weeks we are upgrading our search engine. It's having a triple destructurisation operation and invisible lurking terms enhancements.
The prize will go to the person who finds the MOST VALID PROBLEMS across our WHOLE PRODUCT RANGE in the SEARCH FACILITY.
If you think you should be able to search on "Horror Movies", but nothing comes up, then add it to your list.
If you think people will mis-spell gran turismo, then add that too - but test it first.
Use short lists if possible but multiple posts will count together. i.e. all your posts on this subject will add up and count towards the prize.
Closes 9 am on April 1st, 2001.
I recommend you read the details of our searching process which you can click to from a link at Site Map. Basically we use the start of a word, so a search on "thunder" will find "thunderball". If several words are combined it must find all.
b) It fell of the shelf when they were being counted.
c) It's gone down in price.
This does mean that occassionally the days sales will take us into a oversold position for an "IN STOCK" item, but by this time replacement stock will have already been ordered, so it should be on its way to us. So the delay should be short.
Likewise, the goods we receive each day are added to the stock at the end of the day, so it is possible that an item showing out of stock is actually in stock.
There's no cure other than to say "LOW" for low stock items, but even this is still likely to be more misleading (useless) than a YES/NO answer.
BUT, that's not the subject of this topic - any more failed sarches?
In Stock/Out of Stock.
Good enough for me. :)

Do you mean like at Buy.com where they have the '2-3 weeks', 'out of stock', 'In stock' options?
'Educational' returns only a couple of results...
&
'Memory' returns console expansions and Digital cameras... but no PC Memory
'Special Offers' & 'Offers' all return unsual results (offers returns a list of DIMMS)
'News' returns a seemingly random list?
Although since there are links to both just above the search engine, this may be a moot point?
