Hey there, Big Tone...

Two questions, if you have the time...

1. Do you have any means of telling exactly when someone actually joined SR, maybe using the membership number?

2. Special Reserve used to be just one part of the club - there was another section, under another name, which I think was more aimed at adventure gamers. I've been racking my brains and I can't remember what it was called - can you enlighten me?

Blimey - could have sworn it was earlier than that! Oh well, obviously not! Thanks for looking it up, Tony.

I joined earlier this year, though my brother has been a member for a few years.

After I moved out of my parents place I had nothing to play games on, once I got something, I became a member.

I first joined when the original gameboy had only been released for a few months. Unfortunately, in a state of confusion, my membership lapsed and I've signed up again twice since then, thereby having a nice new and long ID number!

Hey, I even remember the first thing I bought from the company, a Gameboy with Supermario. I've still got the free red pouch it came with (with useful belt holder!) which I now use for my digital camara.

I would never, ever recommend speeding down the A127 from Romford to Southend.
I detest the fact that it's a straight road, no traffic lights, 1 roundabout and no speed cameras.
Oh the stupid people that would overtake each other on that road, to be pulled over by the police and to be asked "Do you know how fast you were going?"
"No idea mate, the speedo's bust"
"What?"
"Tell the truth, this isn't even my car"

Or the classic
"Can you walk the white line in the center of the road please sir"
"No way, I'm too drunk to do that. Just put me in your car and I'll start my 15hr nap right now"

I can do Chelmsford to Harlow in 7.

And I remember when I joined, Amiga games were top, 1 small "shop" in Sawbo with metal filing shelves.

Ah, memories.....
Phoning to see when "Hunter" would be released on Amiga.

Cripes I feel old.

These days it's all PS2 this and X-Box that.
Bah, we made do with BBC Model B (32k) and we were grateful for even that. Oh Chucky Egg and Hunchback.....

Wookiee

The date you joined was 20th November 1990.

You were there
I was there
Fate was there
My shiny new Nissan 200SX was there (Chelmsford to Sawbridgeworth in 11 minutes - still the record (don't try this at home))

We've never done another show since - it's a very hard way to recruit new members.

Those were the days.... when I was a boy we lived in a shoebox! A shoebox in the gutter! Those were the days...

Good grief... I must be getting old - the memory's playing tricks. Maybe I'll order some new memory from you... :-)

Membership number is on the way...

Thank you for dealing with this so promptly it's nice having a service provider that offers a good service, rare to find nowadays.
Wonderful...
... and so easy-to-use even for a technophobe like me. I had my website up in a couple of hours. Thank you.
