Rapidly becoming my favourite Gamecube game this. I know it has recieved a lot of stick, especially for the battle mode, but the single race experience is second to none.

I've been playing it with a bunch of my brother's mates for the past 2 hours and I'm getting a few mates over to play it in a moment.

Ah I love it so, a true Gamecube memory.

The best feature of this game is the 4 player racing action, where positions change in the blink of an eye!! The battle isn't as good as the one on N64 version though, but that loss is made up for by the racing action.

Stayed up playing this game all night with my bro and sisters, and you never seem to get tired of it!! Easily Nintendo's most addictive game

To be fair, pretty much all Nintendo racing games suffer from this, particularly the original SNES Mario Kart. Pick Toad, for instance, and you knew that the opponent order would be Princess, Donkey Kong, Mario, Yoshi, Luigi, Bowser and Koopa in that order. Should you hit the Princess with a red shell, say, she would massively increase her speed and drive straight through the other AI karts until she got back to her designated place in the finishing order. Ergo it was always best to take out your principle opponents on the last lap.

Nintendo AI thoroughly sucks :<

Super Circuit > Double Dash.

I felt like I accomplished something by coming first in some of the tracks.

Double Dash focused too much on the gimmicks than the track design.

As a result, it's easy.

And the fact that you can see which characters are the only ones that are going to challenge you each race, you know that you have to target your firepower on them, and so it doesn't even matter if you come first or not, you'll most likely win.

Too easy.

Hmm...now I fancy a game of Super Circuit...CAn't even remember what that one was like now :S

Because they didn't follow the line of the course, ergo you had to have a direct line of sight to your victim. Using red shells in MK and MK64 is a artform, not a fire-and-forget experience as in Double Dash.
