It's probably been done here before, and I might even be on the wrong forum, but nonetheless, a Zelda Trilogy anyone?

If so, CGI or actors?

If actors, then who? (please don't throw orlando bloom/leo di caprio etc and katie holmes/keira knightley etc into casting for Link and Zelda)

I'm just interested to see how many people think what. Was there not a poll on Nintendo's website a few years back trying to assess the demand for a Zelda movie?

CGI would be awful.

If done well, a "real" film would be excellent.

A Zelda movie will probably be done CGI, but actors would be good. Especially if it stars young link.

I can't help it - Zelda is too good :)

Yeah you're right - I really can't see anyone who'd fit the roles. Orlando might have, but he's typecast as Legolas now, plus his voice doesn't suit Link.

And I really can't see anyone playing Zelda either - because she'd have to have ethereal beauty and be noble enough to play a sincere princess. The only person I can think of with that is Aishwarya Rai, but she has dark hair.

Ray Winstone sounds good for Ganon, though

But I would love to see a CG movie based on Ocarina of Time or A Link to the Past, with graphics better than PS3 and XBox 360 put together on their best days :D

As for whether Link should speak or not - I'm not sure. It would be tricky to make a blockbuster if he weren't to speak... right?

Zelda isn't really movie material, but then again Mario wasn't but that didn't stop them having a go (and making a complete balls up in the process).

I can guarantee that if they made it, regardless of actors or CGI, it would absolutely suck.

I'd have actors, but I can't think of anyone who'd play Link.

Link wouldn't talk though, so that means you could cast a crap but good-with-stunts actor and nobody would know the difference.

And I probably wouldn't have a trilogy to save the inevitable comparisons with The Lord of the Rings. Probably a 3 hour epic based loosely around the Twilight Princess world, and taking plotlines from across the Zelda back catalogue.

And you'd explain the deal with the triforce at the beginning.

Anyways, they'd have to do it CG for me. No fecking chick magnet actor like Tobey Maguire is playing Link.
