If they hold Van Nistlerooy from making any progress, and our strikers (hopefully McFadden and Maloney) can nip past Frank de Boar and Michael Rieziger (sp) then we may stand a chance.
I predicte a 2-1 Scotland win at Hampden (McFadden(sc,Maloney(sc), Van Nistlerooy(ho)
Thats my opionin.

Ireland stole their spot. If Ireland can beat them, so can Scotland.
It's true, the Nederlands just aren't the same anymore.
Where were they in the 2002 World Cup?
When was the last time Dick Advocaat gave us all something to talk about - excluding all the van Nistelrooy business?
Is he really that great a manager, anyway?
I mean, leading a team to numorous honours in SCOTTISH Football is hardly a "challenging" thing!
Scotland have been looking quite good in their last few games.
As much as I hate to see foreigners in-charge of another national side, I have to admit that he's done a pretty good job with this "once-hopeless" team of kilt-wearing psychos.
He's bought in some decent young players - like James McFadden and Darren Fletcher (of course! :D ) - and has gradually worked them into the team. Unlike Sven-Goran Eriksson, who has already players like Wayne Rooney a bigger ego than his gut!! :P
SCOTLAND TO WIN ><
There just aint many easy games left in europe these days.
And 1 point in 6 aint too bad agaisnt a country who has the best midfielder in Europe and the football eqivalent of the big show up front. Holland were lucky to beat the Czechs in Euro 2000 (hitting the woodwork twice before the dutch fluked a 1-0) so i guess they must have been really pumped up for revenge.
England always give better performances against better opposition (e.g. 2-0 vs. Turkey). If this theory is the same for Holland, they'll play rubbish against Scotland (no offence).

What I see there are some relatively poor results.
One point out of a possible 6 against Czech Republic, and only beating Belarus 3-0 and Moldova 2-1 (?????) - for Holland, although it's a win, it's not as positive a win as they'd like.
I think they'll beat Scotland, but as Neo said, the chance is here, and it's the best chance we'll ever have.
