Sean Connery? (Dr. No, Goldfinger, Diamonds are forever forever forever)
Roger Moore (Live and Let Die, View to a Kill, Octopussy)
George Lazenby (On her Majesty's Secret Service)
Timothy Dalton (Living Daylights, Licence to Kill)
Pierce Brosnon (Goldeneye, The World is Not Enough, Die Another Day)
Personally, I think
Sean Connery
then
Pierce Brosnon
Timothy Dalton
Roger Moore
George Lazenby

heh, the classic one is the 'adjusting the tie' manouver. after dispensing with a room full of bad guys, blowing up an underground lair, and shooting an international terrorist in the head, make sure your appearance says 'I am a man in control'.
the gadgets are great, my old man received a catalogue from a company that make such gadgets professionally for a high price.
fake wall sockets with microphones in, pens with microphones in, mobile phones with microphones and transmitters in. good stuff, very expensive though.
Dalton was a far more dangerous character.

I get you, Connery and Brosnon are sharper Bonds, more of a ruthless kiler type too.
Moore...mmmm more or of a comedy Bond if you ask me.
Dalton was good, Licence to Kill is one of my favourites. He brought the ruthlessness out of Bond too, just not as well as Connery and Brosnon.
And poor ol' George. Less said about him the better.
