In a bid to improve the standard of the posts in here I thought I would make an effort with this one. Just wanted to know what games changed the way you thought of games, which you struggled to put down etc.

Perhaps the brilliant multiplayer of Goldeneye or mario kart
The wonders of metal gear solid or driving in gran turismo
The online brilliance of SOCOM, Halo or something else?

So? What games gave you your favourite gaming moments?

Getting stage 5 to a cool rating in Parappa for the first time.

Staying up until 2:30am trying to hijack a tank and store it in my garage in GTA3.

First playing the guitar solo to Deep Purple's "Highway Star" in Guitar Freaks 3rd mix.

Standing at a train station after work, and seeing a bit of paper blow past my feet with "death + added effect materia = instant kills" written on it :-)

Getting a sub-2 minute lap of Spa in the original F1 game on Playstation.

First playing Soul Calibur.

Getting 100 hits in Fighting Mania, with an audience - and walking home feeling like king of the world, heh heh!

Snowball in Hell - just in general
Completing Zelda OOT
Completing Zelda ALttP
Getting 120 Stars on Mario 64
Completing Killer Instinct with Spinal
Doing my first Ultra on Killer Instinct
Breaking the sound barrier on Extreme G3
Eternal Darkness' atmosphere and crapping myself at that oh so famous scene
Any of Metroid Prime's bosses
Finding the Banana Bird on Donkey Kong Country 3

Its all quiet in the forums.

Killing the last Dr Robotnik in Sonic 1 on the Master System.
Killing Wizard Zaks at the end of Fantastic Adventures of Dizzy, also Master System.
That is all.

The death of Aeries in FF7
The first time I hid and stealth killed in Syphon Filter
The great deal of thought in my materia for defeating the 'weapons' in FF7
The first Zombie ever to crash through a window spontaniously in Resident evil
The fist 16 player match on SOCOM
My first clan match
the first time I did 25000 hp damage on FFX
The first time my radio made static in Silent Hill

It was ages ago now and I cant remember how long it was but when i first played Half-life, and then around the corner were things which could make you jump, even if was only a sound and a dead body on the shower's floor.
Also when those annoying head crabs suddenly fell through the celling, I just shot my gun randomly at those guys.

-Silent Hill 1. In the school, dark realm. Locker room.
-Every level on Viewtiful Joe
-Final Fantasy 7 - Aeris's demise.
-Metal gear solid - grey fox battle in office.

Building up an Army of 500+ IFVs in Red Alert 2 and letting them loose on my enemy. 'One click kills'. Class.

Getting a Game Boy - my first games system - with Donkey Kong.
Super Mario Kart on the SNES was joyful.
Playing Super Mario 64 for the first time.
First four-player of Mario Kart 64.
First play of Goldeneye in single-player.
First play of Goldeneye multiplayer.
Completing Goldeneye.
Playing more Goldeneye in 4-player multiplayer with newly unlocked characters and areas.
Just witnessing in the sheer speed of F-Zero X (which is now outclassed by its successor, F-Zero GX).
Playing Conker's Bad Fur Day - especially the Great Mighty Poo battle.
Smashing Master mode on the Planet Cup in Mario Tennis 64.
First playing Super Mario Sunshine on Gamecube. This was my first game.
Enjoying Super Monkey Ball 2 so much.
Pick any moment from The Legend Of Zelda: The Wind Waker.
F-Zero GX's sublimeness.

Ah. Memories.

I think my gaming moments peaked with ZELDA:OOT on the N64. No other game really has come close for me.

Wrestlemania 2000 on the 64 was also quality playing with 3 mates and our created characters. It was superb and hard to describe why becasue the characters all had thier own indivdual personalies from thier appearence which is very hard to re-create. One of them was called "master lee" and he was pretty much summed up by his love of going head-first through the ropes and out of the ring straight into the barriers!
