New boots, as some of you may know and I'm experiencing ererr 'problems'.

I have a little blister on the back of my right foot from using my new boots, it's obviously from the horrendoucly hard back bit of the boot.

I know that the backs are hard to stop studs in the Achilles, so...

Any ideas on what can be done to remedy my problem?

:-)

Hmm I've never had anything like that. You could always try putting a bit of something in to pad it slightly more so you didn't need to take out the stud.

The only trouble I have, which happens with every boots I buy, is that I have hard skin on the ball of my foot near my big toe.

The stud always causes it, and the only way I can stop it is to take the stud out.

Best boots I ever had were Reebok. Tornadoes I think they were. Great boots. Comfortable, long lasting and they appeared to give me superhuman abilities. I could score from corners whilst wearing them you know.

For your err problem. You can get blister patch things that stick on like a plaster, but are not fabric. They are soft, mould to your heel and help heal the blister quicker. Plus they will pad the heel better than a plaster.

I'll probably get them after Christmas and sell my other boots for £40 or something.

All the Nike boots I've had have been like this. I've had the Total 90 boots and some others a few years ago, and both have caused problems with my heel.

I now own Adidas Gun Metal Predators, which are the most comfortable boots I've ever worn. They feel like cushions around my feet, and have a heel that is designed for flexibility.

Great boots. Get them.

I bought some Nike Mercurial Vapour boots for £100. They felt really comfortable in the shop and they were as light as a feather.

It was only when I played in them that it started to rub against my heel. I'll never get Nike again if they are all the same.

My favoutite boots I've had were Adidad Kaiser boots, but I'll have to get the Predators next, as I've never had them before.

Only problem I have ever had was with an old pair of Reebok boots. The stud came right through the bottom of the boot and went into my foot. Not very nice at all, especially as they were only a few weeks old.

Took them back to the shop I got them from and they sent them back to reebok with a letter and I was sent replacement boots and money.
Took the boots back and used the money + the refund to get a pair of predators.
Have stuck to predators since.

True. I had some Tiempos a few years ago and they hurt like hell.

Compeed or something like that are the plasters you are after, as mentioned they say something "like a second skin" on them.

Also I have heard that if you rub a little vodka into the hard leather bit it softens it a little.

Quite why you would want to waste vodka like that though surprises me :-)
