Hi,

Could I borrow 650mb's of space from someone for about 2-3 days, please? I need it so I can upload a file for a friend to download.

I have tried various FTP clients but for some reason they don't work properly on my computer.

Email is [email protected]

Thanks for reading.

No it wouldn't cost anything. An FTP server is just a piece of software that listens for FTP connections and deals with them. FTP servers are easy to make.

how can you install an FTP server on your own computer?

Wouldn't that cost alot?

Install an ftp server on one of your computers, the other can then download and upload at the same time.

There is hardly any difference between the ntsc and the pal beta version.
None that really would make you go to such lengths to get hold of it.
Its a fairly average game at that.

The CD image file is for a game called ThrillKill and we are wanting to swop versions (he has a NTSC version and I have a PAL one).

I would upload first and when he's finished downloading from the site I would delete it and then he would upload his.

We might be able to make 24 hours.

Maybe, but if these a firewall problem you usually can not connect at all.

I have had no problems with MSN in transfering files, but they were only small files(less than 5mb).

Maybe set up a DC hub and then get him to connect to your hub and then share the file that way.

Couldn't you use Kazza lite, just give it an obscure name and tell him to search for it.

An image?

huh?

You won't find anyone who can help you with that much space. Find a program to allow you to make a direct connection with eachother then send it. Something like Netmeeting...

Must be to do with firewall settings if you are getting slow speeds like that..
