"Wycombe close to decision
Wycombe hope to reveal their new manager by the end of this week.
The club have cut the shortlist of interested candidates to four names, with former Arsenal defender Tony Adams rumoured to be in the running.
Current caretaker boss John Gorman is also thought to have hopes of taking the job full-time.
But club chairman Ivor Beeks said former Millwall manager Mark McGhee, who had been strongly linked with the Chairboys, was not in contention.
Former Southampton manager Stuart Gray and ex-Cheltenham boss Steve Cotterill have also been connected with the job.
Wycombe sacked Lawrie Sanchez last month."
To be honest, I'd be happy to bring Adams to Adams Park. Or the Causeway. Whatever. Gorman started off well, but now, we've slipped to the foot of the table. Not good for him. I was hoping for John Gregory, but if I had a choice for either of the four guys already mentioned, I'd say take Adams. It's his first managerial position, and with his experience, he could bring the results for Wycombe.
So, Adams back to football as a manager? Discuss.
(Oh, and sorry if this post is a little skee-wiff, I've not slept for...24 hours and 24 minutes)
Though if it werent for Arsene he wouldn't have lasted as long as he did.
Last night, Wycombe played top of the league Plymouth in the LDV Vans 2nd Round. Plymouth played a full strength team, and it's fair to say that Wycombe had most of their first team players playing, but still not full strength.
We were winning 2-0 15 minutes in. This is bottom against top here, remember. They pull back to a 2-2 draw. We head into extra time a man down, Mr. 'I think I'm going to be abusive and act like a thug' Branston decided to get sent off in the 90th minute of normal time.
Would you be surprised if I said we won 4-2 on penalties? I think you would.
So in conclusion, I'm not gunna be shocked one bit if John Gorman is the new permanant manager. I won't be best pleased (yeah, he's done okay, we won more games under him then we have all season with Lawrie) and even though he is the newbie to the managers world, I think I'd gamble on Tony Adams. But, Wycombe will no doubt keep John Gorman. Ah well, we had four years under Lawrie, and boy, they were successful ones (c'mon, FA Cup Semi Final against Liverpool in 2000), so whos to say we can't have four great years under Gorman?

They all hate your tagline
We COULD get Glenn Hoddle as our manager. Or he could come out of retirement and become our player/manager; I heard he was the best Spurs player in training.
;c)
I'd like some Arsenal fans' views on Tony Adams going into management, please.
Possibly even player-manager in an injury crisis.
