"Wycombe close to decision
Wycombe hope to reveal their new manager by the end of this week.
The club have cut the shortlist of interested candidates to four names, with former Arsenal defender Tony Adams rumoured to be in the running.
Current caretaker boss John Gorman is also thought to have hopes of taking the job full-time.
But club chairman Ivor Beeks said former Millwall manager Mark McGhee, who had been strongly linked with the Chairboys, was not in contention.
Former Southampton manager Stuart Gray and ex-Cheltenham boss Steve Cotterill have also been connected with the job.
Wycombe sacked Lawrie Sanchez last month."
To be honest, I'd be happy to bring Adams to Adams Park. Or the Causeway. Whatever. Gorman started off well, but now, we've slipped to the foot of the table. Not good for him. I was hoping for John Gregory, but if I had a choice for either of the four guys already mentioned, I'd say take Adams. It's his first managerial position, and with his experience, he could bring the results for Wycombe.
So, Adams back to football as a manager? Discuss.
(Oh, and sorry if this post is a little skee-wiff, I've not slept for...24 hours and 24 minutes)
I thought I was going to win alot of money this week, as it looked very easy, but 2 teams let me down.
Torquay lost to Burton and Port Vale drew with Ford United!?!?!
Oh well.
He started the game in the director's box, but ended in the dugout. We lost to Swindon last week; 3-1 I think. We beat them today 4-1. Not bad, eh? :cD
Still, damn Brentford won again. They beat Gainsbury 7-1 at home. :c( Boo.
that back four was brilliant. the idea of giving the linesman a wake up talk to was brilliant. all of them liked defending which was brilliant.
our current back four is weakened. i have faith that someone will fill that centre back position, toures doing ok though.
oh, the wycombe job :) I heard about that. He seems to be perfect because of the respect and leadership skills. i hope it doesn't go all wrong for him.
Whenever he played you could see how much better we played with him, you can see that when Vieira comes off the bench or is starting a game sometimes.
