This came through our letter box last night:

"MISSING

- One female cat, white & grey. Blind (has no eyes)

- Suffers from epilepsy and NEEDS her tablets to control it.

- If seen her in the last couple of days or have picked her up, please ring xxx xxx urgently as she is DEARLY missed.

Thank you"

A blind, epileptic cat, missing for more than 2 days without her medication. It's not looking good. I might actually go hunting for her myself. *bursts into tears*

Epilepsy isn't really anything to do with a person's ability to see, its just some sufferers (a minority I believe) are photosensitive meaning flashing lights can induce seizures.

I used to have two cats. Both have gone now though.

A few stories I remember about them

In our old house this stray cat came in the door with the other cat and tried to get fish from our fish tank. It fell in and it made this really horrible noise. One of my cats scattered up the blinds and stayed there for ages. The other cat jumped straight through the glass window into the garden.

Also one of my cats used to meet my gran when she came of the bus, everyday without fail until he got ill. It was like he knew when she would be there. We thought maybe it was just luck but we followed him a few times and he only ever waited a few minutes before the bus arrived and my gran got off. (and no it wasn't the same time bus she got each time)

Saggy's story makes me think of the precious time my 12 year old dog, arnie has left. for the first time in ages i sat down with him and stroked him for a bit. then he set aside his usual laziness to lick my hand with tons of affection. it'll be a sad time for the family when his fire blows out.
