One of the theories is that Jack the Ripper was the eccentric artist Walter Sickert. "Sickert" - Master "Sickart": that was the trigger and inspiration behind my recent story.
Many professional historians and researchers beleive it was the cheif physician to the monarch at the time who also had freemason links.
It was almost certainly him as the evidence backs him much more than "john the butcher".

If you read that link I put down, you'll see that "many professional historians" have believed a number of different suspects, and still do.

I think that the Ripper is long dead, and hence it isn't really that important.
But if were to go with someone, he would have to have a working knowledge of human anatomy, which mean either a surgeon, or someone who knew enough to pretend to be one.
