I see some of your points but I don't understand this heaven stuff. I REALLY don't think it is an issue. People do things for other reasons you know other than get into heaven.
IB and Belldandy have argued his case for him well. Drawing the conjecture further, you can conclude that free will is indeed an illusion. Everything we do is predetermined by our genes, and our reactions to given situations.
This does not though, mean that you're trapped, or cannot make a difference. It means that you will, and have to, should you be so inclined (or inflicted?).
