Do you ever wonder why nightmares are there, how they got there, or why is it there. Tell me your view of nightmares and what is your favorite one. If not just tell me what you had for breakfast today.

For about 3 years, starting when I was about 2 years old, I would have similar nightmares every night involving "the little green monster". They usually started out with my looking at the headboard of my bed and the monster would climb up over it, and would tickle me; not the playful kind, but the kind that a lot of kids do where they dig their fingernails in and scratch you, thinking it's tickling. I can distinctly remember certain variations on the nightmares too because they scared me to death. I would try and stay awake for as long as possible because I really was scared out of my mind and didn't want to have to endure the nightmares again. And the gay thing is, I still get them every so often, even now. And I actually have these weird scratches around my armpits, which I have no idea how they actually got there.

I had this really wierd nightmare a wee while back.

It started with me standing on a strange beach at night. I was wearing a blue t-shirt with no sleeves and some denim shorts. I wasn't wearing any shoes or socks though and the sea was going around my feet. The strangest thing is i don't even own any clothes like that. Anyway it looked about 9-10 o'clock on a summers night. I was looking away from the sea (sea was behind me) and there was a sort of small cliff at the start of the beach with a dimly lit bungalow on it. One I had never seen before. Directly in front of me though was this stone block that looked like it had been chisled into a rough rectangular shape, stood upwards and had two other squares chisled in. Like this...

I know that's rough but imagine that kind of shape. Anyway I was facing this directly holding a camera in my right hand (even though I'm left handed) and i was filming this stone...thing. I just stood there and filmed it until I stopped for no real reason. I just stopped and looked to my left. On my left I saw a peer with a boy walking on it. As I looked at him though I seemed to move to the start of the peer without actually walking there. It wasn't sudden or anything just a sort of seemless transition. One minute I was looking at him from the beach the next he was in front of me. I had never seen him before either but he was dimly lit and although he may not have been wearing all black the shadows somehow made him look all black. I was going to say something but before I did he was holding a video tape in his hand. I reached out to grab it. I somehow knew it was the one from my camera but didn't know how he got it. I didn't grab it though. I just remember him turning around and running to the end of the peer although I couldn't see the end of it. Just the darkness ahead. It seemed to lead nowhere. I tried to follow him. Still with my video camera although now it was on my left hand.

I didn't manage to get more than a few steps though before I fell. I don't know how. It wasn't like the wood broke just like it had disappeared. Just vanished under my feet and all I could see was black before I hit the water. I opened my eyes in the dream and instead of black I saw the water and a murky figure coming towards me. I didn't move though. I couldn't move. I just sort of floated there under water until the figure became better defined, it was a great white shark. I wasn't scared as it came towards me but eventually it felt like it got mere centimeters away and it opened it's massive mouth showing rows and rows of teeth. It was at this point that I frantically moved my arms but in a second it was over. The last thing i saw before I woke up was it's teeth closing on me.

After that I woke up but I was sweating like an animal. I was freaked out by the whole experience. It was just so real. Anyway it took me about 10 minutes to get over it but after I did i just went to school and haven't talked about it since. I had the dream about a week ago but can still remember it so clearly. Does anyone know what any of that could mean? I wish I took Psychology as a Higher.

I've had the same nightmare over and over since I was about 3 years old. Still don't know what it means.

I'm one of those people who physically attack the 'bogeymen' in my dreams. I often wake up in the dead of night and discover myself aggressively punching the pillow.

Actually been ages since I had a Nightmare, and not really sure if the last bad dream I had qualifies as one really, more weird than anything else.

It is just like dreams, it will just be from things you see, so you dream normal things, but nightmares will be frome bad things you see, so you dream bad things.

Although when I was younger I had a nightmare about being in a monster world. Weird or what. So dunno.

Most of mine involve zombies or Italians for some inexplicable reason.
