I'm 36 years old. I still hate getting up in the mornings as much as I did when I was 16 years old.

Is there a cure? Or is this normal?

I find that putting my alarm clock on the other side of the room helps.

Put a mousetrap on top of your alarm clock, so when you reach for the snooze button ... *snap*!

I'd quite like a bed that flipped over when my alarm went off, dropping me onto the floor with an almighty crash and forcing me to get up.

It's funny, I hate waking up at 7 every day, and yet, if left to it, I can't sleep any later than about 9:30-10am.

There are two types of people in the world;

1. People who hate getting out of bed in the morning
2. People who the bumgrapes of Satan's ringpiece.

ANYONE who says they are a morning person...well I mean, they're not really human are they?!

I'll bet Hitler was a morning person...

Getting up in the morning is my least favourite activity, not least because it takes me, on average, over 30 minutes to get dressed.

"'Not a morning person' doesn't even begin to cover it."

"Coffee makes it possible to get up in the morning, chocolate makes it worthwhile."

"I'm really quite pleasent until I wake up."

"I'll rise, but I won't shine."

Etc.

Tell them to go for a cold shower in the morning. Wakes you up like nothing else.

We cant have the heating on in the morning or there isn enough hot water for my mum and brother to have a shower. If they would just shower at night then it would solve the problem.

But yeah, the alarm clock going off this morning was almost like being punched in the face, i was clawing at it to try and turn it off, but my drowsy appendages were too unresponsive. In the end i stuffed it under my pillow to silence the beast.
