Hmmm, I can't say a movie has changed my life, but movies that have severely affected me have been: -

1) Requiem for a dream
2) Eraserhead
3) Irreversible
4) The Green Mile (Hank’s monologue at the end had me in tears, the rest of the film is ok at best)
5) Tetsuo – The Iron Man

I once sat down on the corner of my Die Hard boxset and managed to break my spincter gland, I haven't been able to hold anything in since.

So I'd say DieHard is the one film that has changed my life and the way I go to the toilet.

Films that changed my life? Probably very few I've seen although I'm sure there are a lot of films out there that would. I prefer films that really make you think. Ones that question philosophies etc. Actually I think Cabin Fever changed my life a wee bit. I mean the whole thing about the treatment of others to save your own lives I thought was very thought provoking.

Well I don't see any way I could re-edit my post after i realised i made that mistake, and i really liked those films, and i probably should have said "inspirational" instead of "changed your life", but who cares.

I don't think a film series should be counted as one choice - if someone chooses police academy (god forbid) it'll be taking liberties :D

Anyway, mine are probably :

Evil Dead 2 - It introduced me to laughing at horrible but laughable gore et al black comedies.

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas - the first film I saw (I realise there are many others) to show the funny side of drug binges, and not force its anti drugs opinions on the viewer.

Pulp Fiction - Showed that film making is not an art set in stone

Terminator 2 - the ultimate sci-fi flick and still as good today as it was then

Lock stock and two smoking barrels - Laughed from start to finish, reminded me that british film making is still the best
