Watched the 50 greatest magic tricks programme after it though, my mind was suitably blown by some of those tricks....pity Mr Brown didn't follow suit.
I just found it good television.
Better then blaines pathetic act.
Put 1 bullet in, spin the chamber and pull the trigger. No messing about.
You lot seem to forget, like Blaine in a box, Brown is about suggestion and planting subliminal ideas.
"Now just think of ONE number, keep that ONE number in your head, got it? Just ONE, don't think of anything else. Choose a number and just focus on that ONE"

No it was to stop us from seeing that there was no bullet in the chamber(s). Why not have six loaded guns that don't need a shield to prevent us/him from seeing the bullet. Or six shotguns, with one of them loaded with a cartridge? He picks a shotgun at a time and sticks it in his gob. Pulls the trigger.
Whole thing is a sham.

The sheild was to stop derren from seeing the bullet in its chamber.

I agree totally.
It was mad! I was like fcuking bricking myself - when he shot chamber 5 at the sand bag and it was empty - you could see the look in his eyes. He slammed the gun down in shock and just sat there.
He was probably thinking "Oh crap - I've just fecked up" at the time.
I'd hate to of been the bloke who loaded the gun.

But still 7 seconds ago he was alive, staring death in the face.
"I heard that it wasn't completly live though, rather 7 seconds behind realtime so if it did go bad Channel 4 could quickly put the News on or something..."
Yeah, TV and Radio stations often have this 7-second delay thing whenever they're broadcasting live, just incase something does go wrong.
Five Live and others will be using it during phone-ins, just incase someone comes on to reveal the names of those "Footballer-Rapists", to the thousands and millions of viewers listening, when everyone wants it keep "schtum", right now, until the timing is right.
And I KNEW there was something 'big' on TV last night that I was intending to watch - But I STILL managed to miss it!! :@
I blame Channel 4, really.
Without any other reason to watch their channel, I missed all the adverts that must've covered this "commercial" "event"! :P
...And David Blaine - no-one will shut-up about him, keeping Derren Brown out-of-the-way, in the shadows!
