Bear in mind I have a dreamcast + 40 top games, a multi region DVD player and prefer multiplayer gaming and online capabilities.

Well as good as the Dreamcast is you are not really investing in the furute, although the Playstation 2 has had a rocky start it will get better, just like the Nintendo 64. The thing is there will be aload of peripoherals for the PS2 and although there are for the Dreamcast the marracas that made Smaba Di Amigo so popular wont be used for anything else unless Sega make a freaky seiance game!!!

So buying a PS2 is good in that way, the thing is if you save up over time and then when you have this (spare) £250-£300 you won't miss it becuase it is spare, but the thing is if you spend it on a PS2 then you will feel as though you have somethig of worth, hey I am a Nintendo fan I am giving my honest opinion, you can spend £5-a-day on food when you go to college that mean that in 2 months you could have a Playstation 2 AND games! For what it is it isn't expensive, it's just wether you care more about your money..(NO!!!!) or gfetting a cool PS2 (Yes!)

I wouldn't mind one, I have other things to buy so it isn't a priority but I would like one when the price goes donw!
