Just grab an up to date PC... the current specs will outlast the currently released consoles...
It may cost more initially...
However the amount of money you'll end up paying a psycaiatrist (or however its spelt!) once you've had a nervous breakdown from trying to decide what console to get, you'll be al the richer :)

Because although the current batch of Dreamcast games look good now, in 6 months your going to be wanting a little more than you'll have been left with...

The Dreamcast has an uncertain Future, once Sega stops production it may die, or maybe others will put Segas bits and bobs into their set top boxes and X-boxes...who knows, the Dreamcast may even make a return someday! It sold more units than the PS1, and PS2 in the UK this year.
However with the PS2 you have a machine that everyone in the industry are supporting! Thats the plus, certainty, but as a cost!
