Some people can be too kind.
Like on this forum people moan over stupid little things, like a crap topic or rubbish grammer.
But on the forum that my dad uses (me too), he was asking if any one had bought anything from a company called Dreamvision UK, and were he could find it.
The reason being that i bought an MP3 player of Ebay from that company for £100 and it broke after 4 weeks, i didn't drop it or anything.
One of the moderators and his wife replied to my dad saying that they know that address, it is only 4 miles from their home, and that they will go down there and see what the company is like.
After going down there on Friday, they said it was an old council flat and looked abandoned.
One of the other moderators (My dad and all the other people mentioned are moderators) said that he would like to help, as it is horrible to get £100 out of a 15 year old. So he has come up with an idea, he said that he is going to order 20 of the guys speakers that he is selling and he is going to ask if he can come and pick them up from his house.
When he arrives at the guys place to pick up the speakers he is going to question him about the MP3 player and ask why he has not replied to 2 letters, more then 5 emails and 2 phone calls. (Obviously he is not really buying the speakers) If the guy says that he does not want the guy comming to his house then he is gunna say no deal.
These people have only known my dad for about 3-4 years now, never met him, but they are doing all this just to help out and be nice. You would never find that on this forum.
Not only that, but lots of people on the forum have said that they would like to donate a couple of quid towards my loss, they even got a partition thing going, i think they got to something like £50, but me and my dad both said no. There really is no need for them to pay for something some one else has done.
Just helping us by going round to their flat was enough.

I wonder what will happen when the guy gets to the flat and asks about the MP3 player and why he has ignored us. And that he doesnt actually want the speakers.

Heh heh heh.

There are just some genuinely nice people out there, and some grade A b*stards. I would generally say most of the people on the forum fit into the first category. Going out of your way to help someone you havent met is an act of extreme kindness. Sorry to hear about your dodgy mp3 player too.

Brilliant! As usual the careful and intuitive production that Freeola puts into everything it sets out to do. I am delighted.
Wonderful...
... and so easy-to-use even for a technophobe like me. I had my website up in a couple of hours. Thank you.
