Um, some one has added me on messenger, with the email address message [email protected].
Saying that i should varify my hotmail address to make sure that i use it. I know that they are asking everyone to verify their account, but i didnt know that they are going to get a messenger bot to do it.

Yes, it's a bot, not a human.

It has asked me to accept a file, download it and then click on it.

Where did you get the idea it was anything to do with the FBI?

Example: My mate was telling me the other day that he ran a check for any miscellaneous programmes that happened to be on his computer. It turned up over 100 little automated programmes that he wasn't aware of, that were capable of sending information about his computer to someone, without him knowing. I'm not sure what the law is with this. One of my lecturers was saying that he found some Adobe spyware, that could find multiple registries of their expensive software, and then alert Adobe about this. The software was there without his consent, but he'd bought the software so he had nothing to worry about.

It's their site, it just gives you a link to hotmail.com and then gives you a link from their site to the password bit.

No it isn't. It's a password stealer. FOOLS. I can spell really. You type in your name and password and they get it. Well done.

Perhaps it is legit then.

And no, norton found nothing, and that found nohting either.
