I have a test on the Pretrite (sp?) tense next Wednesday. It's the millionth test my class ahs done and I'm actually considering buckling down and learning for this one.

Yet, I've never perfect my learning technique for this tense in particular.

How did you learn/remember it?

here we go

The preterite tense is the first past tense you'd learn. It's the tense used for past 'action' i.e saying what happened. Not describing something or how tall someone was etc...


i.e

Que paso!!! - what happened

¡El ladrón entró por la ventana! - the robber entered through the window

instead of 'en general los ladrones te gusta entrar para el ventana' (very wrong due to my head ache) - in general robbers like to enter through the window.

See the difference?
