Anyone getting this? It's looking very good indeed and it's just gone gold. Rumour has it that there will be a demo on the 10th or around then with the game being released on the 24th. I must admit I had my doubts as to whether or not this will come out in June but thankfully it is. I haven't read or seen much about this until now because I was trying not to get into all of the hype. Looks like a must have by the looks of it.

Some useful info

Battlefield went gold on June 1st 2005 and will be released on the 24th of June.

Video is quite funny, but towards the end they do some stuff with explosives to launch vehicles, like some of the bugs in Halo on Xbox...how?

Your drive is funked, try getting everything off it by using that drive as a slave on another machine.

You could grab the GCF files from the steam directory which would save you a bit of downloading in the future.

Balls.

Went to go back up files and steam and other stuff I need before putting in a new drive. Nice blue screen appears and PC crashes.

I suspect that the problem is to do with steam. :-)

I managed to get chkdisk running (still running) so hopefully it will finish and be alright.

it only seems to happens when the PC dosn't shut down properly.
Think there is a problem with the disk so it might be worthwhile to just replace the disk when I get the time.

Oh and I also found out that my laptop has been connecting to someone elses wireless network, not sure how long for but I've noticed the past few days my connection has been disconnecting quite a bit.

You checked CPU temp in BIOS?

Is it back and running now? Just a side note when did you do a defrag last?

I personally don't use itunes but i can't imagine it was that unless the evil apple is trying to take over.

Today I had installed itunes6 and was playing some music.
Anti virus program was running in the background and then suddenly the PC froze and then restarted - from there it wouldn't boot properly.

To begin with not sure what caused it but it seemed to eventually be ok once chkdisk had repaired the bad sectors on the disk.

You tried safe mode?

Did you do anything different before this problem started?

Think I spoke too soon.
