From the FA website comes this impressive list of charges:

Arsenal have been charged with misconduct for failing to ensure the proper behaviour of their players. This constitutes a breach of FA Rule E21(a).

Six Arsenal players have also been charged:

Ashley Cole has been charged with improper conduct (breach of FA Rule E1) for his involvement in a confrontation with Manchester United player Cristiano Ronaldo after the final whistle
Martin Keown has been charged with improper conduct (E1) for confronting Manchester United player Ruud van Nistelrooy following the penalty miss, and with violent behaviour (breach of Rule E2) for striking van Nistelrooy on the back of the head following the final whistle
Lauren has been charged with two counts of improper conduct (E1), for confronting van Nistelrooy after Patrick Vieira's sending-off, and for confronting Manchester United player Ryan Giggs after the final whistle. He has also been charged with two counts of violent behaviour (E2), for kicking out at Manchester United player Quinton Fortune following the penalty award, and for forcibly pushing van Nistelrooy in the back following the final whistle
Jens Lehmann has been charged with improper conduct (E1) for confronting referee Steve Bennett after Patrick Vieira's second yellow card and for then persistently seeking to confront van Nistelrooy
Ray Parlour has been charged with improper conduct (E1) for confronting van Nistelrooy after the final whistle, and with violent behaviour (E2) for grabbing at Manchester United player Gary Neville from behind shortly afterwards
Patrick Vieira has been charged with improper conduct (E1) for failing to leave the field of play following his sending-off, and for instead seeking to confront van Nistelrooy and engaging in a verbal exchange with Fourth Official Neale Barry

In addition, action has been taken against the following Manchester United players:

Ryan Giggs has been charged with improper conduct (E1) for his involvement in a confrontation with Lauren after the match had ended
Cristiano Ronaldo has been charged with improper conduct (E1) for confronting Martin Keown at the conclusion of the match
Philip Neville has been warned as to his future conduct regarding a confrontation with Lauren following Vieira's sending-off

All parties have 14 days to respond to the charges.

When Giggs stepped up to Lauren, he suddenley realised he didn't have another six Arsenal players to back him up, he didn't look so tough all of a sudden.

Giggs ran up behind him and pushed him and Lauren turned, raised his fist a little and realised he was along with the welsh man. A bit more pushing and shuving, nothing serious.

Now just to wait for the charges, unfortunately a points deduction seems unlikely.

Wenger'll no doubtedly blame an evil clone designed by Fergusson.

Go disciplinary!

Oh so it's a crime now to assault someones hand with your throat is it FA? Obviously that was what happened when Laurens hand ended up around Neville's throat. Lock that dastardly Neville up and throw away the key.

You've got to feel sorry for Lauren, I mean, having a name like that'd make anyone crazy

I read in the Telegraph that he could face up to an 8 match ban.

Serves the stinking team right. They're a disgrace.

And for anyone accusing Van of diving, LOOK AT PIRES THE WEEK BEFORE. Also, Van did the natural thing when an opposing player tries to kick you - he jumped back. It's simply a natural reflex action. The fact that he isn't being charged by the FA for anything substantiates the fact he didn't do anything wrong. Loads of players make a meal of challenges...

Wenger is such a two faced sumbag, it makes me sick. Maybe he didn't see the incident at the Man Utd match?

I completely agree. I don't know why Arsenal players or Fans are saying 'that cheat' when Ruud simply jumped out of the way since there was a kicked aimed at him - anyone would do the same! and what makes it worse Pires dived the week before, I wonder what Mr Wenker had to say if the Pompey players punched and shoved Pires around a bit? yet Arsenal still deny that Pires even dived! Who the hell are they trying to kid?

It is amazing how Wenker couldn't see an incident involving Pires about 30 yards away from him at the Pompey game yet he managed to see the incident between Ruud and Veiria 70 yards away on the opposite side of the pitch, even if his version of events were straight from Wenker land.

What good is CHARGING them gonna do?!?

The FA have been talking about dealing with this whole situation "seriously" since it all happened, and yet - again - this is ALL they do!

Didn't they also "charge" Sol Campbell for his Community Shield kick at Eric Djemba-Djemba? And yet, the "Life-long Spurs fan" still hasn't recieved any "serious" for of punishment, or even the usual poxy fine!

And in the end, I bet that's all they'll get: a fine - just like always.

It's not like the English FA to actually do anything that would affect a badly-behaved proffesional footballer, now!!

I don't know why Giggs and Ronaldo have been chanrged, either...
I can only assume it is something that "happened" in the tunnel after the match had finished, or something.

I certainly didn't see them do anything other than holding players apart during the "brawls" - just like Roy Keane did with Vieira.

The FA are going soft, if you ask me.
For that kind of behaviour, all Arsé'ole players envolved would've been suspended for a few games by now - if even the team hadn't also lost points. But what Arsé'ole Wenker is again saying in the media about their "victimisation" on his team is having an effect on them, I believe.

They're seeing that their reputation is slipping, and they want to be seen as "cool" and "likeable" to all football fans. But with Wenker and his idiotic followers putting the FA down, they're not getting the kind of attention they really want.

So, perhaps that is why Giggs and Ronaldo are also being treated in the same way - even if what they DID do may not be even half-as-bad as Keown, Lauren and Vieira.

Heh, Wenker's now changed his tune:

Why didn't you just say that in the first place Arsene instead of barking up the wrong tree?
