What is it with 'The Real World'?

As soon as you come out of your shell and into work.
Everybody around you starts to say,
"Welcome to the real world!", or "Well, this is the real world now, and it sucks."

Why do people have to say that?

Whenever somebody says it to me, I get this uncontrollable anger and feel like puking up over them.
It's like they feel big and powerful for saying it when really it's just words.

Answer me this.

Whether you're in school or not, isn't *that* the real world too?
You're still exposed to all the things going on in the world, be it death, war, rape.
Yet when you get out of school, that's when people start saying it.
What, do they say it because we've suddenly 'grown up' and got our qualifications?

Why do people consider working to be the real world?

I don't think there is such thing as 'the real world'.

Views pleashe thankyou! ;)

Ah, that made me smile. As well as pretending to play football he also plays for a 'pretend' team?

Rachel Stevens slipped unnoticed into the Tottenham under-19 changing room.
"Hello boys. Stop playing with your balls. Let's take an early bath, I'm taking you all to S Club heaven."

Yes, that could work. I'll be the new Alistair Campbell.

My friend is going out with a footballer. He plays for Tottenhamm hotspurs and is sponsered, (we talking under 19's here).. This means he gets HUGE amounts of money for doing what he loves everyday.

He drives to work and trains all day. So he does a 6 mile jog. Has lunch, plays football...more football...o yea again more football and keeps fit.
Because he is sponsered by adidas he can get any adidas item free from Oxford street.
He has just been told that by the end of the season he will be playing for the real team!

Ahh the life. He comes home and plays more football. When he says 'im off to work' he smirks and giggles.

We all wish ha!
