Please don't get me wrong - I feel that PS2 owners deserve a lot better - after all they support Sony by buying Playstations, so they should expect something decent on the Playstation 2. It seems as though Sony has bettered Sega - they've managed to turn themselves into a messed up Games Company after many years of success, whereas Sega are set to make money again, but have given up on the Dreamcast.
It's a shame because I want Playstation and PS2 owners to join me online in a quest on Phantasy Star Online, I want to battle it out on Daytona USA against Nintendo owners who have never really had that much in the way of decent racing games (Mario Kart is a different genre...), and I want to play Quake 3 and Unreal tournament against PC owners, but if sega have given up then it doesn't leave me with any hope that the developers and publishers for the Dreamcast will continue to make games for the format. Shame.
Tekken tag Tournament should have been better - PS2 games shouldn't need to be classed as 'step 1 games' or 'wave 1' games, as they all should have been as good from the start - maybe they'll get better, but there are 2 brand new machines on the way and I feel that they'll bring at least 2 quality launch titles...
I've been playing Phantasy Star Online recently - I haven't even gone online yet, as the offline game is so incredibly addictive! I was blown away by Sonic team's graphical prowess; the player create system is just ingenious - limitless number of characters! Anyway, it's made a slight impact on the charts - check it out if you dare. 10/10 classic, so beware...
I'm now looking forward to the highly anticipated Csequel to one of the freshest games of last year, which even now brings a smile to my face. Yep, Crazy Taxi 2 is about to hit the streets and I can't wait! I'm not advertising for Sega here, or anyone else - I don't care if a console is being produced or not because it doesn't matter, the games are what count and if I'm happy with originality then that's great for me - I'm sure many of you are too. I don't care about DVD features, I have a DVD player, I don't care about 'surfing the net' I have access to my brother's PC (as mine was unespectedly attacked by some hacker of somesort), but it's fantastic to play games online with real people - it's all part of the adrenalin rush that you get, and not seeing who you're beating adds to the fun..
Alas, my rabblings come to an end as I endevour on a journey to watch Jurassic Park on DVD.
Please play me at PSO tonight around 11 - I am D1A1!
Ok thanks,

Try almost a year since the Japanese release - and hey - are they buying games or DVDs for their machines?
PS- MGS2 certainly HASN'T been done before, just ask Ali. He's the only person to have actually PLAYED MGS2.
I bet you're wrong!
Also, does the GameCube have anything very special??
In my opinion, that's more than enough.
Also, how can you say all this when it's only been out a few months!!

It just goes to show that statistics and technical jargon count for nothing - Sony have an extra 100mhz (91.4 actually) and yet the games struggle to par with Dreamcast games! I don't think anyone could expect Sega's console to out perform the PS2 but it has.
I just hope for the future of gaming's sake that the XBox and GameCube deliver something we deserve - Sega did, but forgot to tell anyone, Sony say they have but people aren't stupid, so there's hope yet. In the mean time, I look forward to seeing some screenshots of 3D games on GBA - after all, I didn't pre-order a 32bit next generation handheld to play Snes games on!
Look after yourselves!
I'm going to get Crazy Taxi 2, and just as Dreamcast sales double, it may not be the end of Dreamcast. I have one, and an awful lot of people have them, it's just that in a market dominated by PSone - the preferred Sony console to develop for in the eyes of the games people, 6million people will never be able to convince 6billion. Only a few more million will be able to stay up late with Taki and Sophitia and battle it out in the best weaponary fighting game of all time...
Your soul will never die!
And for the PS2 owners sayinmg that the second wave of games will be better... they've come and gone! The bouncer was released in december- months after the machines launch in japan, and was claimed by Sony to be the first in a long line of AAA titles.... it got 3/10 from edge, and is possibly the most hyped fighter ever!
