Here's the scenario, and be honest otherwise you're a stupid virgin that lies to himself/herself over the internet and you stink of shame:
You have been seeing a woman for a couple of weeks. There have been parties, afternoons in sunny parks and evenings watching movies and talking until 3am before driving to work with zero sleep.
You are going to see her this evening.
She announces that she's bought you a CD you've been talking about, "just because you like it and I wanted to" (hint hint at what's to follow)
My question is this:
Seeing as she's got you a CD, Carmina Burana, what would you get her?
She is a huge movie fan with 700+ DVDs and has all of your favourites, this is spooky because you like some weird films.
She likes the same sorts of music, and goes all sopping over the mix CDs you do for her.
So what do you get her in the way of a return trinket?
No catches, just think about what you'd do and reply honestly.
And at 4:30pm just before I leave I'll tell you what I bought her "just because I know you'll like it and I wanted to"

If she's got the same taste in music and films, there's no point in getting her something like that.
Maybe surprise her with a flight to somewhere in Europe. Unless you're not romantically inclined.
I guess that only leaves a decent book, methinks.
*furrows brow*
No furniture or gadgets. Too crude. No films or music. Too samey.
Damn.
I can't think of anything.
Not really a trinket but the spelling is similar.
Perhaps dont go down the video/dvd/cd route and buy her something different instead. Lets have a look at possibilities:
- Cosmetics is a NO NO because she will get self-concious.
- Jewelry - seems a good idea, necklace or earings or bracelet are a nice gesture and dont have to be particularly expensive and will result in an "Awww thats soooo sweet" - seems a good idea
- Clothes are a NO because you probably wont get right size, men cant shop, it is a handicap.
- A teddy or something would also be "sweet" and a pretty good gesture
- Book is a possibility if she is a reader, theres some ok books out at the moment.
- If you are insistent on getting her a dvd then here are some lesser known movies- "Road Kill", "The Last Castle" and "Unbreakable".
I would say jewelry or some kind of teddy thing would be a better bet but then again I dont know the women so it all comes down to you. Hope I managed to be helpful.

Sorry to burst your bubble mate, but those films aren't lesser known in any way or form.
Well compared to LOTR or Gangs of NY they are. None of them were particularly blockbusters.

I'd get her a flight somewhere and then pop the question. No, you fool. Not THAT question.
I simply ask if she wanted to go to Rome/Venice/etc for a long weekend.
