I have finally decided to upgade. Thanks to all who helper and ive decided to go for the:
A7N8X Deluxe SKT A NForce2 Chipset Motherboard VER: 2.0
AMD ATHLON XP2600+ 333MHz
I'm gonna order it all this week. Unless anyone can see any obvious probs or thinks i can do better.
Anyway the main point in this topic was to find out what kind of RAM i'll need to get, any suggestions please, what type will i need and any good value for money stuff you've seen. Thanks a lot ashley.

Well Bartons are just Thoroughbred B chips with extra cache, if I remember oorrectly.

Also I've heard the XP2500 Barton is generally better than the XP2600 Thoroughbred, due to the Barton having more headroom for overclocking. If you're into that thing. If I even heard that at all.

Depending on the amount of memory you are getting if its over 512 get 2 sticks to make it to utilise the dual thingy

I was thinking of the Asus myself, but the guys here recommend the Abit. However my local computer shop do not stock Abit boards whatsoever because they have had so many customers coming back with non-functioning boards. They say that Abit are sacrificing reliability for performance.
Oh and you'll need PC2700 DDR RAM.
