If you were going to be informed of prosecution, I doubt they'd let you know by e-mail.
Someone's been messing with SR user's e-mails, I was CC'd in an e-mail purportedly from me telling Lil Ginge she'd been banned. Worryingly, the -email was sent from [email protected] so it's one of those Manic Mail things.

Plus, Sharman Networks are Australian, so if it came from Kazaa_Europe - it's a load of crap.
Must be a prank as Sharman Networks, the people who own Kazaa are not going to sue their users. Plus it is the RIAA that is filing lawsuits. And when someone sues you, you get served papers, not an email that can be faked.
IP addresses change every time you connect to the net, apart from a few ISPs who provide a static IP (notably Freeola), but the vast majority are dynamic IPs.
