They charged me for the address I used to live at. Idiots. If I remember rightly, you have to sign a form and send it back to renew the licence, so it could be that the current residents have tried to pull a fast one on me. Is that right? About the having to send a form back. They send a postcard, that much I can remember, so it can't have been renewed without a signature can it?

The first instalment of my tuition fees (33%) was about double that, so it helped a lot.

Quick update on this - I got £228 out of them!!! That paid most for most of my tuition fees, which was nice.

But you have to contact them to cancel the DD at their end, or they can fine you for not coughing up (as happened with my Uni - lovely bunch of people fine their own students for not being able to afford their tuition fees BEFORE their loans have come in), which is what I failed to do. Good thing is that I might now be in for 2 years refund!

I hate the idea of a tv licence.Why doen't the bbc just have adverts lik any other channel! They advertise the tv licence! GGGGRRRRR! It annoys me.
Like they evr put anything good on in the first place!

I know a cab driver who is an ex tv licence inspector he has the most ridiculous stories involving car chases around Swansea in the late '80s early nineties over a blooming TV licence!!!!
