Sorry but going without food for 44 days to me is pushing your body to somewhat of a limit to me anyway. I also very much doubt 'most people' could do it even if it was necessary as well.

No it isn't. Most people could go for 40 days on water alone if necessary. Real hunger strikers have went for 70 days with no prior training.
I wouldn't blame Blaine if he doesn't do another trick in Britian again. You could just imagine if he tried doing the vertigo trick in Britain. Some idiot would take it as time for some aiming practice to try and knock him off.
