the thing is, it must have been a good arm throwing the egg because the box was quite high up. either that (or as my dad said) or a pretty big seagull just flew by...

But the people (normal people) off Suvivor stood on a splintery log for longer than him. And it was really hot.

If you absolutely HAD TO, and had no choice in the matter, it's entirely possible to survive for 40 days on only water. Like I said, hunger strikers have went for 70 days without having any prior training or information on the subject - and survived.
