Just to let you guys know that despite having two firewalls, my computer has somehow contracted a virus (despite me not having any strange emails - and certainly none opened with attatchments).

Despite being up to date with my Antivirus software, this virus is still unknown.

It has infected 1 file on my computer.

The file that is quarrantined by Norton's Antivirus is called verifier.class and is a trojan horse.

I have submitted it to Symmantec and hopefully they'll be able to tell me more about it and allow me to repair the file. According to their software, they should respond within a week, their average response time being 48 hours. Given that its the weekend, I'm not holding my breath.

If you get any emails from me via Hotmail and they have odd titles, delete/ignore them.

I'll give you more news as I get it.

That's just it - nothing currently seems wrong with my PC.

I'll keep an eye on me bank account and such, but I can't find any problems with my PC.

Hopefully that means my investment last November into Antivirus has paid off...

Cheers for the heads up. Seeing as how everyone seems to send them to me.
