Despite being up to date with my Antivirus software, this virus is still unknown.
It has infected 1 file on my computer.
The file that is quarrantined by Norton's Antivirus is called verifier.class and is a trojan horse.
I have submitted it to Symmantec and hopefully they'll be able to tell me more about it and allow me to repair the file. According to their software, they should respond within a week, their average response time being 48 hours. Given that its the weekend, I'm not holding my breath.
If you get any emails from me via Hotmail and they have odd titles, delete/ignore them.
I'll give you more news as I get it.

I asked because Windows XP as this pop up messenger that always pops adverts and sometimes virues every now and then.
You can disable it though.
Norton .. :S
I have an inbuilt firewall in me broadband router/modem and I also use Norton's Internet Security.
What firewall DO you use?
I'm assuming because the file couldn't be repaired, it will also be non-deletable - hence the reason I submitted it to symmantec.
