Is there any way in which you can get this "Generation Terrorist's" IP (I thought most forums logged it when the account was made), and then compare it to past account's?
Ok, it'd take ages, but isn't there some scripting that allows to you automatically search for other account's matching that IP?
It'd end a lot of fuss.
I agree there's no need to release the person's name (ie, account name) onto the forums, as this'd cause uproar from members etc.
I dunno, proceed as you see fit.
You do anyway.
:-D
Just a suggestion.
But changing your I.P is illegal, so don't do it.

That's beside the point. I was showing you that your #1 and #2 were basically the same thing.

Don't be stupid.

You do realise that both of those are basically the same?
If you format your hard drive you're going to have to log onto the internet again after you re-install Windows, so it's entirely pointless.
Plus, if your ISP gives you a static IP, when you log onto your account it'll always be the same, whether you format or not.

Na there is internet files and stuff, if you format it then all you history from sites and everything will go, and if you have broadband the I.P will change.

Your HDD has no bearing on the IP you get, it's assigned by a server when you connect to your ISP. Wiping the HDD only appears to erase your files/records, you need a proper program to remove traces beyond recovery.

Only on dial up, and only within a certain range. Reckon the guy is on broadband, meaning he most likely has a static IP

They also screw your ability to log into things like chat forums/MSN/Hotmail
