Is there any way in which you can get this "Generation Terrorist's" IP (I thought most forums logged it when the account was made), and then compare it to past account's?
Ok, it'd take ages, but isn't there some scripting that allows to you automatically search for other account's matching that IP?
It'd end a lot of fuss.
I agree there's no need to release the person's name (ie, account name) onto the forums, as this'd cause uproar from members etc.
I dunno, proceed as you see fit.
You do anyway.
:-D
Just a suggestion.
But with most broadband ISP's the I.P is static, i know that mine is, but you can get software to change that, but it is actually illegal to change your I.P using this software.

Is there no end to your talents ? I do hope you're keeping track of them all...

Er...

There are plenty where you could have asked/posted this.

Yes, but he isn't gonna read through lots of dead topics, is he?
I addressed it to him so he'd see it instantly, as it's a topic in it's own.

Thats not interialy true, formatting your HDD will erase files.
So it wont to nothing. :D

Yes it is illegal to own I.P changing software.

Er, how is this adding hype?
I am asking a question based on general internet computing and technology to someone who knows what they're talking about. Well, sort of.
Also, he's a staff member to the site, so I addressed the topic to him directly so he'd see it when he was working.
Ok Capitano?

Yes, but he'll see it when he gets to work, won't he?
:)
As I said, I addressed it directly to him so he'd notice it.
I doubt he's going to read through countless dead topics to see if anyone's asking him.
Also, this particular topic has no direct relevance to other topics already made - this is about a particular subject.

No point in people getting involved who have nothing to do with the situation
***
Er, I'm not. I was asking a question. Sheesh.

Right, time for a quick lesson in Windows. When you delete a file, or format a hard drive, the information only appears to be gone. On screen, your file is gone. But, on the actual hard drive, that information is still there. But, because you have deleted it, the hard drive adds the file size to the amount of free space available, but because most hard drives are so large, then it's not likely that all the information you ever delete will be gone.
Example.
You download a 100mb movie, and your hard drive space is 2 GB
You delete the movie, your hard drive space is 2.1 GB BUT that 100mb movie is still on the hard drive in part unless you fill the whole 2.1 GB up. And if you fill the hard drive then the PC won't work properly.
Same goes for formatting a disc, it only appear wiped, the info is still there, retrievable with the right software.
