Outrageous diving and allegedly continuously winding up opponents. Pires could well be landed with a fine.
As usual, of course, Wenger saw nothing. Sainsburys are giving away vouchers for £10 eye tests at specsavers, perhaps he should pay them a visit...
So Arsenal's season has seen a red-card, a charge of violent conduct, an FA rap following Viera's outburst and now possibly more trouble from this incident. And we're still in August!
I wonder what odds I'll get for Arsenal breaking the Premiership disciplinary record this season?
cole: sol can i have a hug
campbell: no we are meant to be acting hard, later
Incidently i originally meant Wimbledon not Milwall [embarresment] but you get my point i hope :)
Now ok understandably those 2 players have every right to have less than fond memories of that but they are only serving to hang a noose around thier own necks by agreeing to do that commercial... trying to portray themselves as 2 heavies who have a no-nonsense approach.
No wonder everybody is on their case... if i had a reputation of being a berty dastard i would try to clean up my act and keep a low profile but no not the Arsenal guys... they seem to thrive on being the new Milwall, i have zero sympathy when i see an Arsenal player take a walk these days... they bring it all on themselves.
Solskjaer sprinting down the right hand touchline, Ashley Cole storms up the left and attempts yet another of his perfectly timed tackles *ahem* in an attempt to cleanly take the ball and leave the opponent dazzled by his defensive skill *ahem* but shock of all horrors... Cole gets his usually inch perfect timing all wrong and scythes straight through the Norwegian gazelle leaving him in a crippled crumpled heap... Arsene jumps off the bench in dismay and runs over to take a look at Solskjaer to see if he is ok then Wenger drops the nut on Cole and waves his finger at him in a very dissapointed fashion.
Now that obviously isnt going to happen, but just once... yes just once i would applaud Wenger 'if' he had the balls to say (in an arrogant, cocky and saracstic tone)
'The tackle by Cole was not upto his usual high standards, this is clearly something i will have to work on with Ashely because i was surprised to see Ole regain conciousness so fast'
At least he would have admitted to have seen one of his own commit a foul.
