Men and Women are different! C'mon, men are (Naturally stronger than women, but women have abilities better than men (no not ironing or any other crappy joke of the same theme))

A few years back Women were'nt allowed in the fireservice, now some of them had a sh!tfit and eventually the goverment said yes, now women can be firefighters, only problem, mens natural ability to be taller therefor stronger, made them better than MOST women, therefor, women failed the tests and couldnt become firefighters. Fair enough, we have these tests to make sure people are capable of saving and protecting lives...the goverment make the test ALOT easier for women, giving them a pass rate, therefor, more women are now firefighters, therefor my life is to be saved when a 5ft 5" woman carrys me out of a window ever her shoulder...?

Well then, that seems a little unfair, but get this, the women were demanding EQUAL rights! EQUAL. So, what do they do? They go out and make 'Diamond', the only car insurance JUST for women. That doesnt seem fantastically equal to me. But, men, we keep schtoomp, because we cant be bothered to argue. Woman howerever, if this was an advert saying 'Male onyl car insurance' or in other words 'Because its women who cause crashes and raise the rates', would get it banned. Now I dont mind the service, all I'm saying is Ladies, for god's sakes make up your mind, which is it you want, equal rights or privilages for different sexes?

Your veiws?

Not in front line units, but unfortunately that kind of designation was made with the Cold War in mind, as Iraq proved, the concept of a front line is now mute when you have something like the capability to do an armoured charge right to an enemy held capital - several women were captured because they were in supposed support units which were ambushed behind the front line, mainly because the front line was a pile of armoured units blasting across the desert as air support blew away any opposition in their path...

Simply because this is a survival technique. Men can fertilise several women in very shorts amount of time, meaning more women is more important than more men. Although I am sure we all knew that anyway.

Thst is an EXCELLENT point. Just out of curiousity does anyone know, if a man commits manslaughter whats the sentence, and does it stay the same for women. Infact, i ask the same question for all crimes! Do the sentences match?

I believe in equal rights in terms of the same pay for the same job and obvious things like that. Sadly, this isn't the case in many workplaces.

However, in reference to your firefighter example, women should have to do the same tests as men, I know they do here in Ireland. If they're not strong enough, tough!

Women will always be seen as being inferior to men in my opinion. Regardelss of how society evolves, it is predominantly a mans world, even though statistically women outnumber men.

Good night, was it?

I kinda know how you mean when you say it seems a little wrong to make sweeping statement, but you have to keep them in context, in that they are sweeping statement. They aren't hard and fast rules, but they are still valid.

I hate stereotypes. A few (lot of) years ago I was the stereotypical teenager. Trying to find my identity and be different, just like everybody else. To steal from Monty Python :-

"We're all individuals" "Erm, I'm not"

However I realise that sterotypes are important, for lots of things like advertising and marketing, understanding groups and society in general in order to create better product, society etc. and whilst very very few people fit the stereotype exactly, many are close fits. Trends run through the groups and can be defined as properties of the members of those groups.

That's why I think it's okay to be X-ist,
so long as you're not a *expletive deleted*

I take your points, but there is something about them that doesn't ring true. Were I not so monumentally hungover, I'd take the point further...

Good debate though!

So that's why white men can't jump while black men can. Ohh makes sense now :D

I've always believed the biggest hypocrites and most sexist people on this earth are feminists. Just like most things in the world that start off with very good intentions, it soon gets twisted and manipulated and after a few years the original ideal gets forgotten for gain of the individual or group.

Of course women should get equal rights, if they do equal work they should get equal pay is just one of many examples, however exactly why should equality for women come at the cost of the rights and dignity of men?

I'm sure people watch adverts on the tv from time to time. Who's seen i think it was the carling advert where you have the guy on his hands on knees licking everything up with his tounge? To me that was the most degrading thing i've ever seen and i'll bet you all of my wordly possessions if the roles were reversed in that advert there'd have been so many complaints about it being *sexist and degrading* blah blah blah.

Now we have that camera advert with the girl saying *women are superior to men etc etc etc* You're selling a camera for god's sake where's the need to bad mouth men to sell a bloomin' camera?

But do these adverts get taken off the air? Oh no of course not because god forbid us men should dare complain about being degraded. We're just told to grin and bare it and stop being a girl.

Then we have all these things in which have far better rights in with a prime example being the divorce system. 50/50 my ass it is. In my opinion whoever payed for the possession and can prove it gets it, not just give it all to the woman and if the guy's lucky he gets to keep the clothes on his back and the car to sleep in. Obviously amongst the bra-burning and men hating chants the feminists forgot to address that issue and make that equal.

If women want equal rights then make it actually EQUAL, not campaign for everything they get the raw deal in to be made equal yet everything where they have the advantage conveniently forget about. Then i won't have a problem with it but until that day i'll carry on hating feminists and if that makes me a *sexist pig* then so be it

Maybe you shouldn't be hitting anyone.
