Or, to put it another way, radical terrorists are just as capable of committing an atrocity based on poor intelligence (both militarily and on a more human level...). I would think that whomever did this is more likely to be from one of the more obscure terror/freedom groups.
Of course, all of the above could entirely wrong...
You lot keep me posted in case there's any updates.
Oh, Sky just replayed the clip. Sounded pretty horrific.
That's why i'm so baffled by it. What is going on?

Previously it has been US bases and soldiers under attack. Not a good thing by anyone's definition.
But nothing to do with the UN, who weren't involved in any of the invasion or subsequent "rebuilding".
This is really, really strange.
Alistair Campbell gives testimony concerning the validity of invading Iraq, doubts surface. Question raised in the press, Blair under more and more scrutiny over this.
Suddenly?
"BOMB BLAST!!! PEOPLE KILLED!!!!"
A stern Blair on television "Iraq poses a significant threat, as can be seen by the acts of recent days not to mention the terrible targetting of soldiers over the past few weeks."
Dumb public suddenly thinks "Well hey, looks like we did the right thing!"
And nobody says "Well actually, it's looking more and more like we had no reason to be there at all, and this wouldn't be happening if Blair was accountable for leading his country into an illegal invasion designed to oust a leadership once considered friendly to Western interests, to the point where we ignored the gassing of Kurds in 1988"

Damn them to Hades. My conspiracy theory mind can't possibly believe that this is a sordid attempt to deflect media attention over here. It's just too horrific to think about.
This invasion was not sanctioned by them at all. It was a purely US & UK thing.
This makes no sense

More than those who lost their lives in the actual "war".
