Just been looking over the Christmas release schedule, and I have to say, the festive season does look the one to be jolly for 'Cube owners this year. In my opinion, quite easily the best Xmas exclusive line-up out of the three consoles and I don't think many can argue with that. In fact, with an intelligent price-cut and some decent bundle deals, Nintendo could "win" the Christmas sales over here in Europe; sailing past Microsoft and perhaps even Sony. Take a look at what's to come (I've picked out the highlights);

AUGUST/SEPTEMBER

Product Number 03
Xtreme G Racing Association
WWE X9
True Crime: Streets of LA
Soul Calibur II

OCTOBER/NOVEMBER

Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life
Viewtiful Joe
Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg
F-Zero GX
Star Wars Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike
Beyond Good & Evil
Medal of Honour: Rising Sun
Prince of Persia
Tom Clancey's Rainbow Six: Raven Shield
XIII
Tiger Woods 2004
James Bond: Everything or Nothing
Mario Kart: Double Dash
Pikmin 2
Tony Hawk Underground

DECEMBER

1080 Avalanche
FIFA 2004
Metal Gear Solid
Pokemon Colosseum
Phantasy Star Online III
Return of the King
Sonic Heroes
SSX 3
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Bit of a duff topic, I know, but things haven't exactly been very interesting in here lately, have they? Anyway.. I reckon things look really good for GameCube on paper - everything now relies on those release dates holding strong, and a good strategy from Nintendo. So, what are you guys looking forward to? And what are your predictions for the GameCube this Christmas?

some GC/Xbox games just have better/more options/more levels/less fog than the PS2 version. Some just run better/make better use of the more powerful systems to improve the game.

These include:

BurnOut 2
C:DS
MGS2

and others.

Although the GC/Xbox version are likely to be better than the PS2 versions if there are any differences.

Well there's some from the list you stated in the original post. These are a few of the multi format games on PS2, then there's others like Freedom Fighters, PES3, The Great Escape (not sure about that one), Dredd Vs Death, and more that I can't remember off the top of my head. The games I'm most interested in this year seem to be multi format though: True Crime, SSX3, Soul Caliber, Turtles.

I think PS2 has got a pretty good line up as well. Xbox has never had a good line up in my opinion.

You mean, you're still holding out to buy the likes of Mario Sunshine, Metroid Prime and Zelda? And will do so for F-Zero, MGS, Rogue Squadron III and the rest?

Crazy.

I don't care about new games anymore.

You can get some pretty decent older ones for just a tenner.
I'll wait 6 months.

I never thought I'd say this, but I'm actually quite looking forward to the Cube's death! :-)

Oh, and in that article, it was also confirmed that Mario Party 5 will be out this year too!

Chalk up another sortie!
