im a lazy git and cant be bothered to read there extremely lengthy rules abd regulations. so my question is about the used games sellings:
is it like an auction in the way that once you put it in, it has to stay there until sold, or can you withdraw or reject someones offer. about paying, it says that they send the buyers details to you. whats to stop them or you from over charging? finally, whats the success rate of these second hand sales generally.

My bad on the 14 day thing for Amazon, your first payment from them does take 14 days before they transfer it, after that you can transfer yourself.
eBay charges you for listing an item, and charges a selling fee of a small percentage of the final price.
With you mentioning that you're going to list with high start prices/Buy it nows, I think you'd be better sticking to Amazon as it sounds like oyu want to guarantee getting a certain price for stuff and don't want to risk getting a low price for something.
I don't find eBay or Amazon's help sections any problem...

that might be it. ive decided to put do a test and put a couple on e bay (with quite high starting places and a buy it for...), a couple in amazon and trade some in.

The problem with Amazon is that you're competing against them, and with Amazon offering free shipping and slashing many prices it can be difficult to get good prices on some stuff.
I sold Brute Force on eBay for £35 a,d Matrix for £36, but with Amazon doing them 29.99 there is no way I could get that price, plus Amazon take 3.5% of each sale + 29p, and they only transfer money to you every 14 days, and then it takes 6-10 days to actually get into your account. Compare this to Paypal on eBay - I can get the money 5 days from payment or use it to pay for stuff with Paypal, and I'll take Paypal any day.
I only use Marketplace to buy because I know I can get stuff like games and DVD's cheaper than I would on Amazon. Sure, Ebayer's may not always pay up, but that's countered by the fact many bid good prices anyway.
