Watched the film, now I'm 2 thirds through the book.

tis a good'un, plenty of 'bashings', knee capping, shootings, gangland killings and general criminal nastiness.

good stuff.

recommended if you like gangster stuff or enjoyed the film

Porno - Irvine Welsh (sequel to Trainspotting)

Fantastic is all that I can say. If you're not easily offended its definatly worth a read. Funny and very obscene. It's gripped me quite a bit. Nearly finished reading it now. The best character has to be Begbie - Amazingly retarded - Yet so clever - Its great!

Battle Royale - Koushun Takami

Seen the film? Read the book. Excellent.

Something nice and easy going, quite a laugh, and a bit over the top: Tietam Brown, by Mick Foley (the former wrestler).

That's the first book review I've written in years. I'm a little rusty...

Been reading Bravo Two Zero- just finished it, thought it was great.

Meka, you should read Mick's two autobiographies. They are both excellent and give a great insiders view on how much he had to work to get where he is. The first is 'Have a nice day' and the second is 'Foley is good'.

So if you haven't already, I would recommend reading them.

And I forgot to mention that they are funny too.

"Storm" By Boris Starling which is a follow up to the book called "Messiah",that was recently shown on t.v.

Also "Porno" which has already been recommended.

Great Expectation. Dickens has done it again with a superb book. I only read this for the first time about a month ago but I was impressed with it.

The Night's Dawn trilogy: most entertaining story I've ever read. Peter F. Hamilton.
