Just an idea. But how about every 3 months we eliminate a notable who really is

1) Not here very much
2) Not posting well

Having been here for almost 100 days I can say who I've seen and not seen in the time I've been here (apologies if you have been here and I say you haven't, I just didn't notice you):

FantasyMeister - Who?
Grix Thraves - Seen a fair bit of
Meka_Dragon - Seen a few posts
Sniper - Seen a few posts
Ant - Yup he's here a lot
er-no - Here a lot
SHEEPY - Here a lot
pb - Seen a fair bit of
Wookiee Monster - Unless he's now wookie man then it a 'who?'
Goatboy - Rings a bell ;)
RastaBillySkank - Has been around
Your Honour - Seen about 10 posts.
Pro Evo - Who?
SonicRav - Who?
Edgy - Here a lot
AfroJoe - Here a lot
Rosalind - Becamea notable then all but disappeared


So should we round it down to 15 notables then?

I also propose in the future we vote to get rid of a notable when we make a new one.

Anyone who wants to lose their wee colour can campaign if they want.

I know I know!!! We could ask Snuggly to make me notable for one day then you could all vote me out and I would become re-regulated...

I agree, but would some notables feel like they have been pushed out the forums if they turn to regulars again? or will they try and gain back their notable status.

Also this will give incentive to the notables who hardly post to actually get on here and post now and again.

I think keeping a maximum limit of 15 notables would be a good idea.

It makes being a notable more meaningful.

Do you search around all the old topics from the archives etc and then post them as a new idea? ;)

We tried to get this done a while ago, one regular gets Notabled whilst one notable gets Re-Regulared, we asked Snuggly etc but they wouldn't do it.I think they said it would cause too many arguments due to the fact that certain people wanted other forum users to be evicted blah blah blah.

I think SonicRav should be Re-Regulared, also this would give more people the chance to be notable and if they started playing up then they know that people will evict them in 3 months etc.

When is the next notable election anyways?

Tis a bit worrying that the 'real' regulars (or the longer running members) aren't venturing on the site so much...

But there are reasons why.

thats because the posters arent as good and like everyone said at the time the forums are going downhill. its a shame really. i used to love the complicated, philosophical, insightful convos in the life forum. youre lucky to get one a week now. i think ive gradually improved as a poster, i would expect all n00bs would (personally i have seen an improvement in hedfix, when at first he seemed a spammer, but i now like and see him as a reasonable poster). there are a variety of good and bad posters now, whereas before if someone posted spam, everyone would come down like a ton of bricks, now there are just a few insults, because it is a lot more common from the posters. i remember saying at the time- shame really, and it is because although i enjoy it here now, i used to a lot more. this may all be my strange perception though.

But some notables are here rarely like SonicRav, but in this case when they are here they make a difference by posting good topics. It's better than someone being here every day and posting complete tripe all the time.

No notable has come on SR as much as the old days.
