I pulled an American (hence the topic title - I'm not trying to be American. Honest) girl at a party and gave her a ring a few days later. Amazingly, she still wants to meet up with me. So I told her I'd see her next week. Nice.

But what I want to know is, are there any decent places in Whitechapel to go?

I was thinking about the Scream pub in Stepney Green or the Vibe Bar in Brick Lane. Any more suggestions?

asher, nightly appointments with razzle magazine and a box of kleenex doesn't count.....

The London Dungeons is pretty good though. I liked the rat torture - a steel cage placed on the victim's chest with a live, starving plague-ridden feral rat in it. Then hot coals are placed on a wire gauze on top of the cage. The resultant heat and minute burning coal particles affects the rat so badly that it needs to get out. Except there isn't any way out is there?

Oh yes - there is one way out.

Go to London Bridge and do the Jack The Ripper tour there. I did it in the summer about 2 years ago, and it was so hot that some guy fainted. Twice.
