For me, Han was always going to shoot anyway, if he shot second, it was because he wasnt as quick on the tirgger as Greedo, which for me, gives the characters much more depth, credence... Since Han generally relies on brash and luck as much as any other skill anyway???

Give me Dirty Harry over Happy Larry the friendly detective who solves crime through the power of love and his lovely puppies, anyday.

Completely agree. I absolutely adore anti-heroes, but obviously my warped little mind can't cope with having an idol that kills in cold blood.
Malibu most often chooses Return of the Jedi (for the Ewoks), though A New Hope gets a watch every now and then. Empire is a little dark for her liking (she's only three), but she always wanders off if you put The Phantom Menace on.

I hate that particular change: it sums up every thing wrong with modern cinema.

Yeah, for me that totally ruined the mystical-ness of the Force.
"Oh, it's not magic... it's little aliens in your blood."
"Shouldn't you get that checked out? Aliens in your blood sounds a bit unhealthy..."
-------
"I don't mind if he changes loads of stuff for the dvd version, just as long as we also get the untampered trilogy on the dvd boxset as well, so we can have the choice of whether to see Han be a bad-ass and shoot Greedo first"
Sorry, but as someone else said, Lucas won't be releasing the originals. They're "unfinished" in his opinion, just rough edits. Pft.
But, I'm glad to say, all this stuff about Lucas making more changes are just RUMOURS, as far as I know nothing has been confirmed. I don't think Portman has filmed any new scenes or anything like that. We can only hope.
Marketing man:
"Hey, I've got an idea - let's isolate all our fans by introducing cute aliens that will become cuddly plush toys that we can sell to children everywhere at extortionate prices!"
Lucas:
"Kerching!" *eyes turn to dollar signs*
Ron Howard:
"Hey, can I be in it?"
John Williams:
"Furk off Cunningham, I'm his beatch."
Fonzie:
"Hey, siiiiiiiiiiiiid onit" *thumbs out*
Lucas:
"Get back in you cupboard, Winkler."
Or something.
Sorry, just found it funny. :0)
