OK, I wasn't THAT bad, but it's a pretty good rendition of what happened.
The MoJo is going to Thailand in October (assuming I get my passport in time) and today he had some injections. Had some at high school, which last for 10 years so I only needed a couple today, and it was a combined injection. Needle was tiny, but I looked away anyway, since I’m such a girl. When I had my measles when I was 10, I looked and it freaked me out a bit. Five minutes later I felt ill and ended up on the floor with a green tinge to my face. Ah, happy memories…
Barely felt it, but as the nurse was talking to me about needing a booster in 6 months, what else I can catch, yadda yadda yadda, I started to feel a bit light headed. Like when you're working out and exhaust yourself, and you need to sit down because your head is spinning. She noticed and asked if I was OK, said I should lie on the bed for a bit. Felt better, got up and went back into the waiting room (you're meant to hang around for 5 minutes to make sure you don't have a bad reaction)
Felt like I was going to throw up, ended up lying down across a couple of the seats, staring at the ceiling. Oh, and my hands started tingling. Felt kinda cool. After a few minutes I walked back home, still feeling a bit crap but a fair bit better than I had been.
Arm's stinging a little right now, but that's OK. Still feel a bit crap. I don't think it was the needle that bothered me (had my BCG with no problem, and a few more injections back in high school as well) but if not the needle, what then? I'm just a coward, heh. Only getting 6 hours sleep and only having two pieces of fruit this morning for breakfast probably didn’t help.
Gotta get it boosted in 6 months so it lasts for like 10 years, and since I paid a tenner, I want my money's worth.
Bah, and there was me thinking I was dead 'ard! Grr.
Funny, I had two injections in the gums to have two baby teeth taken out. Didn't feel them at all.
A mate of mine didn't need his BCG either. Lucky kid.
Everybody I know now had them in primary school, but I went to a different school and in that area, the kids get them in high school, so I had mine in highschool and everybody else there had already had theirs. As you can imagine, I got punched in the arm a LOT, and I couldn't hit them back on theirs. It burst once, all this yellow puss oozed out.
She learned not to mess with djerrud. She learned good.
Didn't need it apparently... although I asked her if I could have one 'just in case'.
Everyone found this out... so everyone smacked my arm in P.E and then prnaced about shouting 'you can't hit me or you'll get suspended' LALALA
I kicked someone in the groin... how I laughed.
*shudders*
